Becoming the part of the world with independent spirit,
the youth must be financially settled. After graduating high school some
teenagers come to universities while some other find a place to work. Most of

crafting business are popular among Yogyakarta students. The cities show what
is called crafter economy or creative economy. A "crafter" is a
creative person - a Creative (Wo)Man - who doesn't want to adjust to existing
boundaries, and who would rather create the world. In the Crafter Economy, or
creative economy, money and profit are not driving forces. The driving forces
are the satisfaction of creating and
exchanging ideas and knowledge (Bengtsen and Bengtsen).
One of the most famous crafting business in Yogyakarta
nowadays is sewing craft category. The products include a number of fabrics for
hijab, brooches, key chains, beads craft, crochet, and knitting craft. Most of The
consumers of these products are women. Moslem has become the largest population
in Indonesia so that the lesson for women to wear hijab is familiar to the
people. Plus the trend of hijab in Indonesia today is very good. The creation
of hijab form inspired the young entrepreneurs for produced the fabrics for
fashion intention. So does brooches nowadays made for the equipment as well as
accessories for women and their hijab. The brooches are made from waste
fabrics, crocheted or knitted thread beads, or felt. Sewing is the most popular
methods for this craft. Rather than being a consumer, a crafter becomes a
manufacturer; the end result of a night on the couch isn't three hours of empty
space, but a scarf, toy or handmade holiday ornament that one can give away,
keep or sell (Tiffany).
